The cats have both been under the weather lately. Both of them had high fever and diarrhea (misa was worse) so we went to the vet today. They have infections in their intestines, so they’re in pain… they should be well again in a week after taking medication and eating another type of food, so we’ll go back to the vet in seven days.
They’re sleeping as I write. I think they got tired from the first medication.
It was a really bad day for Mokona yesterday, the day of castration. He got the anaesthesia at 10 am and woke up the first time about three hours after the surgery, but just for a minute or so. He wanted to change his position from time to time, but he was pretty knocked out until I fell asleep at 1 am.
I think he was lying under the kitchen table rail style all night, watching out from the balcony windows. He hasn’t been speaking, but he’s been drinking and trying to eat. Everything he consumed yesterday came up again and it was yellow.
I take a lot of pictures when he’s sleeping. Hope you don’t get tired of watching them. He’s so peaceful and it’s hard to resist.

I put the cat stairs in the window so he could walk up there by himself. He loves the heat from the radiator like every other cat, but his favorite resting place is the Sleepypod. He sleeps in it wherever it is at all times. I will order the big Sleepypod next year. I wish they made them in my size too.
He’s sleeping a lot. We are so in love with him and we’re so happy that he always wants to be in the same room with us.
We have one cat bed each on our desks in the office. Mokona likes to sleep when we work because we’re so boring.

He’s a little more brave now and has been to all the rooms. I’m so happy that we don’t have to worry that he’ll do his business other than the litter box. So we encourage him to explore the walk-in-closet and the guest room too.
We love him to bits and are so happy that we got such a wonderful kitten! I hope he loves us too. We do our best to play with him several hours a day. We leave him when we’re going to the gym in the mornings, but we started to invite our friends over so he doesn’t have to be alone when we need to socialize with other humans.
