Mokona is today’s kitten on Daily Kitten. This is big news! Someone even made a LOL of one of his photos. Next up is Misa on Monday.

The cats are happy. Misa is still ill and I’ll take her to the vet again soon. She’s very happy though. Not as shy as before. She sleeps in our bed at night and is getting more tame for every day. We’ve started to hand feed her with treats and it’s very effective! She seems to actually like us! And she loves the cuddle.

I wrote that they both suffered from fever and diarrhea and the vet is trying to figure out what it is. We ran several tests yesterday and ruled out some things. They are getting treatment for two types of bacteria for seven days. Mokona is very weak… he has high fever, but so does Misa. But Misa has always been sick so she’s actually quite cheery although she’s just as sick as Mokona.

Misa has made a lot of progress in the social sphere since the first visit to the vet. She sleeps in our bed, talks and wants to cuddle. We still can’t carry her or cut her claws. She still keeps a distance when we walk around her, but she’s not scared when we’re on her level (lying or sitting on the floor).
